Cupramontana:
where Cherubini wines was born

Cupramontana has always been known and appreciated for the production of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi.
Ancient Picene city, its name is linked to the cult of the Goddess Cupra under the Roman period. Fallen into ruin with the barbarian invasions, around the year 1000 it comes back to life through the Castle of Massaccio, located on the highest part of the hill. Castello of the Contado di Jesi first, tenacious opponent of the French oppressor then, with the unification of Italy it reappropriates the ancient Roman name of Cupramontana, thus reaching today. For centuries linked to a rural tradition, Cupramontana has always had the cultivation of the native Verdicchio vine as its leitmotif, which in this area finds the best conditions to express itself at its best through its wines, appreciated through multiple types.

The versatility of the land and the uniqueness of its microclimate have proved to be particularly suitable, giving us the possibility of making the most of those red vines that in recent years the Cherubini company has added to the traditional Verdicchio: Sangiovese, local varieties, and the international Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. All enhanced by the widespread presence of centuries-old olive trees in our area which allows us to further enrich our offer with the production of an extra virgin olive oil that is highly appreciated and sought after thanks to its properties.
